New
Constitutional Amendment
Question: Does this
newly proposed amendment to the
constitution mean we can own and read books, or does it mean only
libraries can have them?
*"A well-equipped Library, being necessary to the Literacy of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and read Books shall not be
infringed."*
a) People as individuals would not be allowed to keep and own books.
Only State or Federal Libraries would be able to own books. Individuals
would need to check them out at a government-controlled library.
b) People as individuals would have the right to keep and own books.
Without exception.
c) People as individuals would be allowed to read books, and keep them
at home while reading. But must return them to the Libraries afterward.
d) Other _____________________________________
Most will pick "b" as their answer. Then just crossout the words
equipped, library, literacy, read, and books and write regulated,
militia, security, bear, and arms in their place and ask, "What's the
difference?" |
